We knew from the start that this wedding day was going to be full of love, joy, and TONS of laughter! As Kyle and I were driving to this wedding we could not help but to think how amazing it was that we were able to start our wedding season off with such an awesome couple! Of course, with our first wedding of the season comes some nerves and anxiety. We aren't kidding when we say the second our feet stepped out of the car, all those nerves dissipated and we were overcome with so much peace! Peace from the beautiful day, peace from the venue, peace from the wonderful bride and groom. We immediately got into our groove and started filming like we hadn't missed a beat! April 8th was a dream, everything from the weather, to the bridal party, to the families were incredible! Ben and Blair did something we absolutely love; they decided to read each others letters in front of one another. The raw emotion that comes with that is unmatched and we LOVED it! It was so personal and so genuine, they got to laugh together, cry together and share such sweet memories in front of one another!
Hillary and Luke may have been some of the kindest people we have ever filmed, from the moment we met them at a meeting over a year before their wedding, we new we'd be friends! Their love for one another is something to cherish for a lifetime, it was an honor to capture and witness such an amazing love. Editing this wedding was a dream, we got excited to wake up and listen to these two laugh at each other! What started out as us filming their wedding as ended with life long friends meeting for coffee, sending Christmas cards, camping and kayaking (the camping and kayaking are the guys idea)! We love you guys so much!
Oh goodness... the video that went viral! We love this couple so much, Ashley happened to be our photographer (Shining Light Photography) for our wedding so the pressure was on! We were so thankful and honored to be able to capture her wedding day too! Zac might be the nicest human in the world, he has a constant care for others and an ability to dance like no other. Not only was their wedding day filling with laughter, joy, and abundant love, a tree decided to join the fun! Oops! The entire morning was gorgeous sunlight, a slight breeze and a perfect wedding day. It just so happens after Ashley walks down the aisle a massive gust of wind comes (sending the communion table flying) and the tree directly behind them comes crashing down! Luckily, no one was hurt and it was a wedding of a lifetime! Our cameras were rolling so we were able to capture the whole thing... that night we knew we had to publish the tree falling (with Zac and Ashley's approval) and by the time we woke up the next morning it had gone viral! It was picked up by local news stations, then international news stations, and eventually was shown on FOX News, Inside Edition, BBC, and many others! We are still amazed and will forever have a special place in our hearts for this wedding day!
Melody and Keith knew from the moment the day started who it was all about, they focused on honoring God and honoring each other from the moment we starting rolling the cameras all the way until the send off, and for a lifetime to continue! Melody was full of snuggles all day with such a sweet and gentle voice constantly encouraging and cherish each moment. Keith loved his bride so much, all day we saw from the looks, the tears, the hugs, and the kisses; he adores Melody so much! They were so in the moment of their day, I don’t think they noticed the cameras once!
Lindsay and Drew made us laugh nonstop, they were making jokes and cracking us up from the moment we walk into the hotel rooms! Lindsay was spunky and sweet, she carried herself with such joy and passion, she loves Drew with all her heart and that love was so evident on their wedding day. Drew was hilarious all day, Kyle could not stop laughing enough to hold the camera still, but we could tell he cherishes Lindsay and honors her with the ways he would encourage and support her. They had a rooftop wedding overlooking the Ohio River, along with an indoor reception just a flight down!
Emily and Ty were such a sweet couple to work with, they had so many friends and family who loved each of them so much. The day started out to be a tad rainy but ended with gorgeous ceremony weather and an amazing reception and send off. They chose to get married in a barn with open doors on either side, overlooking an open field. The reception was on the same farm just a short trolley ride away! Although the weather was a bit questionable for an outdoor wedding neither of them showed an ounce of worry, they cherished the special day and knew nothing could ruin their joy and love for each other.
Megan and Clint were some of the sweetest, kindest and most appreciative people we have ever met! They were constantly making sure we were okay and checking on us to make sure we didn’t need anything… ON THEIR WEDDING DAY! They both have some of the biggest hearts and were so excited to get married! We were so honored and taken back by the love these two had for each other and the amount of effort they put into honoring each other and serving their guests. This was a wedding no one wanted to miss!
Emily and David are some of the friendliest and kindest couples to shoot, we actually met them the day of the wedding! Ha! I truly felt like we became instant friends, they are the type of couple that you want to be friends with and go grab a coffee! Their wedding day was supposed to rain non stop, but God had another plan! It ending up being the most perfect weather and gorgeous atmosphere! We LOVED the garden feel it gave such an intimate and cozy feel to the entire day. Both Emily and David did everything they could to give God the glory on their wedding day, Michelle actually cried during the ceremony because their marriage is such a testimony!
Erica and Dexter had such an elegant and stylish wedding in Naples, we had so much fun getting to hang out with the two of them at both the rehearsal and the wedding day! We had a field day picking out all the shots we wanted, lets just say we had tons of options! They got married in the center of the Ritz Carlton garden, which was BEAUTIFUL! The birds chirping, subtle waves crashing in the background created an atmosphere one could never forget! The reception took place in an elegant building right on the water, filled with greenery and peonies everywhere!
Kelly and Richard were SO IN LOVE it was so much fun to see the joy, love, laughter, and passion between the two of them! Not one person left their ceremony not know who Jesus Christ is, the amazing thing about this couple is they took no credit for any of it! They had one of the biggest bridal parties ever, whether is was an epic dance party with the bridesmaids or a massive Nerf gun war with the groomsmen, this couple was LOVED! The garden where they got married was so cozy and pretty, it really enhanced the beauty of the day!
Hayley and Gabe were actually the first wedding ever shot by Kyle, so this wedding has a special place in our hearts! Hayley was so kind-hearted and loved by so many people; especially her husband! Gabe was hilarious and that only increased with the groomsmen; I mean who wouldn’t want to play a round of basketball right before you get married!
Hello All, we are new to the world of blogging but super excited to share all the awesome weddings SSC (Summit Stone Creations) will be apart of this summer and the upcoming months. Both Kyle and I have loved being apart of weddings, we get to see a glimpse of couples relationships and feel honored to be part of their special day! Can't wait to keep updating about all the wedding videos this summer. It has been so awesome seeing how God has grown this business so much after just filming ONE wedding! And a very special thanks to Hayley and Gabe for allowing SSC to start its journey on their wedding day! Hopefully many more posts to come!
